East Coast Religious Education (E.C.R.E) is a support group for R.E teachers in the Great Yarmouth area, it was initially set up in 2013 by Homefield Church of England Primary School as a way to improve the standard of R.E teaching in their school. The support group proved very popular and now has over twenty five schools taking part. In recent months the group has moved to a new home: Peterhouse CofE Primary Academy.

The Living Advent Calendar

The Living Advent Calendar has been set up to help schools come together to celebrate the wonder of Christmas. It also gives schools the opportunity to showcase the great work going on in their classrooms.

Dig Deeper into Christmas

Did you know that just 12 percent of adults know the nativity story, and more than one-third of children don’t know whose birthday it is. Meanwhile, 51 per cent of people now say the birth of Jesus is irrelevant to their Christmas. Use the resources from 'Christmas Starts With Christ' to dig deeper in your classrooms and help reverse this trend.

The Norwich Diocese have produced a set of delightful resources to help schools dig deeper in to the Christmas story. There is an animated story that you can use in class and the online shop allows you to purchase various items, including an animated story CD, bookmarks and Christmas cards.
